Caciocavallo is shaped like a tear-drop and is similar in taste to aged Provolone.
It is recommended to keep Caciocavallo cheese on a higher shelf of the refrigerator, far from food with strong odours, in order to avoid the absorption of unwanted tastes and smells.
Caciocavallo should be stored in a food container with a tight lid to preserve cheese freshness and to protect from moisture, odours and possible moulding in the fridge. Freezing is not recommended.
Caciocavallo is the perfect addition to your charcuterie board, your favourite sandwich recipes, baked pasta, or any grilled dishes.
